Background ATU
Fund Administrators (BVI) Limited was set up in the BVI in 1997 as a subsidiary of VP Bank and Trust
Company (BVI) Limited. We
were the first company to pass scrutiny of the BVI Government and receive a license as Manager and Administrator
of BVI Funds according to the Mutual Funds Act, 1996. We have literally been in the business from
the beginning.
VP Bank Group, founded in 1956, is one of the 3 major
banks in Liechtenstein. The Group comprises today of subsidiaries in Zurich, Luxembourg and the British
Virgin Islands and representative offices in Munich, Montevideo, Moscow and Hong Kong. It employs approximately
600 people. VP Bank is a public company listed
on the Zurich Stock Exchange and has been given an ‘A’ rating by Standard & Poors. In terms of assets,
capital funds and customer assets under management, VP Bank is one of the 20 largest banks in Switzerland
and Liechtenstein combined.
VP Group’s legacy dates to the founding of
ATU in 1929 - one of the first trust companies in the principality of Liechtenstein.
